Apace Systems enabling end-to-end workflow for ingest, edit, backup & distribution of all media

ORANGE, California - September 11th, 2009 - Apace Systems Corporation®, a leading media workflow and storage solution provider for media content creation, distribution and archive, announces immediate availability of mStor, its advanced media asset management (MAM) storage platform for interactive global access, search/query, and of all media. mStor as a self contained MAM appliance offers four core functionality to all corporate enterprises in need of managing all their media globally:
  1. - Ability to be a media storage gateway between corporate media users and the rest of the organizations media workgroups and storage systems.
  2. - Ability to offer media management for millions of digital assets with extensive support for Video and Audio.
  3. - Ability to complement current shortcomings of operating systems file structure and associated storage hardware with a media aware and intelligent media asset management appliance.
  4. Ability to enable global access to its content from anywhere in the world via its web 2.0 browser interface and simplify licensing by offering unlimited access to content residing on its storage.

mStor decouples access to its content from any client device hardware and OS platform; where all is needed is a web browser running on a client PC to a smartphone. mStor packs Apace's MAM with Apace's storage server, offering IP based connectivity, integrated workspace and metadata aware media management, while supporting all media formats, associated proxies, and streamed delivery of content. mStor can scale in capacity and performance by adding more mStors to its IP based cluster.

mStor is intended to be a standalone device or paired as a gateway with 3rd party storage and servers, as such Apace is making mStor available for OEM through its system partners.

Apace Systems showcases mStor at IBC 2009 at Apace booth #7.K27.
