Apace Unveils Global Web-based Solution
for Frame Accurate Proxy Editing,
Optimized for Media Cloud Access
Streamlined solution brings enhanced functionality to the Apace MAM and workflow platform supporting on premise, hybrid, and cloud based single or multi-site installations
2016 NAB Show, Apace booth #SL12413
Las Vegas, Nevada - Apace Systems Corporation, a leading Media Asset Management
(MAM), workflow, and shared edit storage system provider, announces the addition of a unique global and web-based solution for frame accurate video proxy editing with the enterprise class platform.
"Availability of web-based and frame accurate editing capability within the Apace production
MAM and workflow, allows users from anywhere, anytime, and any platform to search, access,
review and edit the source of raw video for any application" said Apace Systems' President/CTO,
Dr. Lee Hu. "We believe this new workflow offering will introduce a paradigm shift in the
distributed collaboration of content creation in a native web-based environment. It will enable an
entire media production over Internet, making it ideal for cloud based workflows supported by
the Apace enterprise MAM platform, while providing a virtual collaboration workflow to editors,
directors, producers and customers" Dr. Hu Added.
Apace workflow solutions compliment and enhance all editing applications, but are further
optimized to provide a seamless turnkey solution for Adobe CC (Premiere, AE, Prelude...). Users
can work from inside Adobe CC applications via the integrated Apace MAM panel to search and
edit media within the entire single or multi-site ecosystem. This ability is further enhanced to
support Adobe Anywhere Collaboration Hub, which assures the extension of project services to
users in one cohesive and unified environment. The Apace solution is also intended to be
complementary and supportive of Adobe Proxy editing workflows at the Creative Cloud
application layer.
Further enabling a multi-site workflow, Apace offers users postMAM Global that unifies the
Media Asset Management layer and provides access as well as review of media in any location
worldwide. As such, this end-to-end workflow allows a tiered multi-site search and enables
streamlined transport of source media to the local application, regardless of source media
location. Result is vast improvement in productivity for global media content collaborative
creation, including the business team and customers.
The Apace workflow approach assures balanced control and ownership with collaborative content
sharing as well as heterogeneous scalability of mixed old and new systems. The Apace
architecture is scalable for large local and remote production needs and supports various users
from production editors to business executives in need of review and approval of material on
hand at a global scale. As an inherent benefit, Apace offers the ability to further facilitate 4K /
8K proxy editing and rendering within and in between several facilities.
With a total solution offering and enterprise scalability for a distributed multi-layer approach to
editing locally and/or remotely, Apace solutions significantly elevate the ROI and productivity
for a distributed community of production and access users globally.
